The location is ideal, and our views of Rossio Square and the Castle were spectacular at all times of day. We had a sunny, spacious room with a balcony. The staff is helpful and the breakfast quite nice. There are a pleasant public areas with a small bar, newspapers, and comfortable places to sit and read (and also a computer with web access).

Central location near Rossio Square made exploring the city easy. Room offered a nice view of the square with a small balcony, perfect for evening relaxation. Vibrant atmosphere outside added to the charm of the stay.
Caution for light sleepers. The noise from street performers and restaurants below can disrupt a restful night. The breakfast left much to be desired with processed juices and limited coffee options. Some bathrooms showed wear, lacking shelves for toiletries and air extraction. The hotel decor felt outdated, and the various carpets seemed to be in need of replacement. Another downside was the signage. The entrance could easily be missed at night as the hotel sign wasn't illuminated.

This Hotel is perfectly positioned for a city break - right on the main square, and we had a room with little balcony overlooking the action - views of the square and castle on the hill, cafe life, and street entertainers. The location is also brilliant for the airport bus, the railway station, tram stops and walking to many places of interest. In spite of being on the busy square, double glazed windows kept the room quiet at night. Staff all very friendly and helpful.,
One very minor thing for me was the scrambled eggs for breakfast - very variable, sometimes not looking good! The toilet door didn't shut properly; the shower head had a will of its own!

I didn't like the smell in the hotel,I didn't like the breakfast .It was always water on the floor in our bathroom.(room 59) .

A vintage stay with character
Stepping into the lobby reminded me of entering a charming time capsule. The location was unbeatable, surrounded by vibrant life and history. Breakfast was a good surprise, with varied options each day.
Our room showed its age, with some furniture feeling tired and dated. The TV had limited channels, and the fitting for the shower wasn't functioning as expected. Still, it added personality to the experience.

A toaster for breakfast would be appreciated.

The location of the hotel was excellent, right in the centre of Rossio Square in Lisbon. It was next to the station and convenient for travelling to Sintra, a town not to be missed if in Lisbon.
The hotel was great and staff very helpful but at night there were a lot of beggers on the square outside

Convenient location with short walking distance to Baixa, Barro Alto, and Rossio areas of downtown Lisbon. Great views of the square and castle. Best value for city hotel. Breakfast was also good.
A/C was not working, so room was hot during unusually warm May weather, and staff was unable to fix during our short stay. Room decor was a little worn and threadbare, and bed was pretty hard. Had to get up about 4-5 steps to get to elevator with luggage w/ no bellman service available.

What a splendid stay! I was kinda greeted upon arrival and thrilled with the surprise upgrade that offered amazing views of Rossio Square and the castle. The breakfast was good, setting the tone for our daily explorations. Really good staff went beyond expectations by arranging an enjoyable day tour. A treasure in the heart of the city!
